Emotional Robots, Inc. is an independent, self-funded development house whose focus is creating high impact next generation games. Our current project, Warm Gun, was a finalist for the Make Something Unreal contest, and is currently on the forefront of both iOS and Android development. Summary:
Emotional Robots, an independent start-up, is currently seeking a Gameplay Programmer to assist in the development and polishing of a near-complete next generation title.
Responsibilities:
- Work within clear coding best practices and attend regular code reviews
- Work well within a small, cohesive programming team
- Determine the tech needs for the team and work with third party middleware vendors
- Ensure the creation of strong technical documentation and assist in the creation of submission materials as required by third party vendors
- Work with the production, programmers, design and art leads to discuss tasks and schedule estimates for programming deadlines
- Continually review the game and development process and identify areas that need improvement
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the UnrealScript programming language
- Game industry experience or previous quality modding experience
- A keen analytical mind
- Strong C++ and/or Java skills
- Strong Math Skills
- The ability to work well with a diverse team
- The ability to keep independently motivated
Preference to Applicants With:
- Shipped-title or released-mod experience
- Experience using UnrealScript
- Experience working on a mod/title on the Unreal Development Kit
- BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related field, or related experience
