Emotional Robots, Inc. is an independent, self-funded development house whose focus is creating high impact next generation games. Our current project, Warm Gun, was a finalist for the Make Something Unreal contest, and is currently on the forefront of both iOS and Android development. To build on its achievements and share in its future successes, Emotional Robots is looking for dedicated, self-motivated talent to join the ranks.

Warm Gun utilizes the full source code of Unreal Engine 3, so the opportunities to learn and progress are endless.


Summary:

Emotional Robots, an independent start-up, is currently seeking a User Interface / HUD Artist to assist in the development and polishing of a near-complete next generation title.  This position requires a portfolio.

Responsibilities:

User Interface / HUD Artists are responsible for creating highly-original, next-generation game art for integration into the Unreal Engine (UDK).  Interface artists are expected to closely collaborate with members of the programming and Scaleform team in order to hit the aesthetic goals of each asset.  Additional responsibilities may include re-designing logos and assisting in the company's media growth via advertisement.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive working knowledge of 2D art packages such as Photoshop (or similar).
  • Passionate about games and able to articulate that passion clearly and analytically. A broad knowledge base of console and PC games, specifically top tier FPS titles
  • Positive, professional attitude. Disciplined and self-motivated with a strong work ethic

Preference to Applicants With:

  • Shipped-title or released-mod experience
  • Experience working on a mod/title on the Unreal Engine
  • B.A. (or higher), or related experience
